Seasons, senses and self: a daily trickle of words 1 Sep. 2024-31 Aug. 2025
A very tentative plan. I’ve no idea if I will be able to keep this up on a daily basis.
See the most recent additions to this series here.
Format
A short piece of writing each day (usually by Chris Fewings, 100 words max sometimes far less – a haiku, for example). This may or may not be followed by a sentence or two suggesting how you might create something yourself. I’ll use different forms from day to day, such as poetry, microfiction, letters, diary entries, reminiscences, lists…
Aims
- To encourage readers to create something of their own – and maybe share what they create with others
- To encourage people to explore the seasons and other themes – outdoors perhaps
- To recruit ReadWriteFlow members
Themes
In September, I’ll try to cycle through these seven themes each week, and see how that works out:-
- Mondays: Pilgrim? Stroller? Drifter?
- Tuesdays: Trees & streams
- Wednesdays: Dis/Ability
- Thursdays: Stringing words together
- Fridays: I laughed until I stopped
- Saturdays: Write yourself a life
- Sundays: Faith, doubt and festival
