Attention diverging, diffracting…

Seasons, senses & self: Day 18

“ADHD”… Deficit, disorder? “Predominantly inattentive ADHD”. Dreamy, mind jumping around. Commoner in females, they say. (Girls at the back zone out. Not leaping about, not perceived as disruptive.) ADDers’ attention dwells on what’s interesting. Not governed by task lists. Sense of time unclocked. Some are hyper-creative. Not deficient. Different.

Another post on the Dis/Ability theme. This one uses the same sort of pattern of sentences as the very first Seasons, senses and self post, but has only 49 words instead of 100, because the sentence length peaks at a seven-word sentence in the middle. Have you tried out this pattern yourself? I’ve found as I get older my sentences tend to get longer and more complex – I need to do something like this from time to time to try to boil my logorrhoea down to the essentials.
